-Senior Governance Officer

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Senior Governance Officer who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. Our collaborative department is in need of an enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges and is committed to making a positive impact within the state government sector.

About your new role

Working closely with Program Directors and Functional Leads, the position is responsible for driving sound governance processes and ensuring that high-stakes documents such as Board and Investment Committee papers, briefs, and submissions are written to a consistently high standard and delivered on time. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in navigating complex government environments, applying decision-making protocols, and utilising the Microsoft Office suite to streamline workflows and enhance organisational efficiency. Beyond technical skills, the role requires strong critical thinking and interpersonal capabilities to detect underlying stakeholder concerns and align day-to-day planning with broader organisational strategies.

What you will need to exceed

• You must demonstrate a proven ability to navigate complex government environments.
• A core requirement is the ability to prepare high-quality written materials, such as Board papers, memos, and briefs, with a strong focus on clarity and accuracy.
• You must be capable in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• You will need to apply decision-making protocols to ensure outcomes remain transparent, accountable, and timely.
• You will be responsible for thoroughly reviewing and refining content to ensure consistency.

Must have

• The ideal candidate must have advanced expertise in using MS Projects and possess exceptional scheduling skills
